‘Mystical Fairy’ was a painting I did on behalf of a customer.  The customer expressed how her grandchildren saw her as a fairy.  She has fairies all through her garden, which the grandchildren love to play with everytime they come over to visit.  In addition, the customer has a business where she helps them on their journey to empowerment and self-belief.

When I painted the image, I wanted to choose colors that show her aura.  I chose a blue/purple dress as a symbol of spirituality, peace, calmness, serenity and tranquility. I chose a light yellow as it symbolizes someone who is optimistic and happy.  As the customer is very spiritual, I want to include all four elements of nature – Earth (forest), Air (fairy wings), Fire (fireflies), and Water (stream).
