MY BACKGROUND
I am a self-taught artist. I enjoyed drawing at a younger age, but my career pursuits took me in a different direction, until 2020 when I picked up a brush for the first time to paint a picture to hang in my home. Since then, I was inspired to paint more artworks, learning as I go and being inspired by many other artist I discovered along this journey.
MY MEDIUM
I have only ever tried acrylic paints on stretched canvas. I have been using Mont Marte Dimension Acrylic. I love the vibrancy of the colours and their medium drying application. I can use water to thin out a colour and still maintain its vibrancy and of course I can easily clean my brushes with water.
MY INSPIRATION
Nature and discovering oneself. I love seeing how water flows through nature, finding its own course and bringing life to areas that it passes through. And, if there are any obstacles in its way it goes over or around, it never stops. At times it flows quietly and gently, while other times it can be so loud and powerful.
